Parallel so the backside of the primary leg can be accessed from either direction with reclaim conveyors as shown in your second picture.

Capacity will be the same, but you can dump grain lower in the leg on the "down" side and still achieve cup fill. "Up side" fill requires grain to be placed into the leg higher which usually works better with gooseneck incline conveyors or steep incline augers (from a pit) that are already being used to dump trucks.
