I guess I was raised that way too.
Often have something saved to get by or as son in law found out recently I had a replacement wheel stored away for his bag cart when needed.
saved him a trip to town and a couple hours all because I bought a basket of 'things' for a $ or two at a sale one time and kept if for a rainy day.
