2003 duramax with 12,000 miles on a newly rebuilt motor.New tires, brakes and rotors with recent inspection.Could use new rockers and cab corners soon.255,000 thousand miles on the pickup. He is asking 9000.00 for the pickup.I know nothing about a duramax of that year and i am not a mechanic. Are there other issues i should be concerned with that may pop up?.Is that a reasonable asking price or is it at all worth buying?I am 70 years old and would put less than 7500 miles a year on itI need it for hauling garbage, fishing etc.Your thoughts please. Happy fathers day to all those dads.

Unless your hauling really heavy you would be better off with a gas pickup. In the duramax, I usually recommend skipping the LB7 engine, which means you want a late 04 or newer. My dad has a LB7 and I've seen him do injectors a couple times, CP3 pump, etc. They run well and do work, but are known for injector problems and require a lot of extra labor to replace them compared to newer ones. |
