| maxflex540 - 6/15/2024 22:43 The basis we get in this part of the world from ethanol processors is a heckuva lot better than any co-op ever has, regardless of who pays for what advertising. Maybe its different in different parts of the country.
In this part of the country corn basis probably averages 30-40 cents better at the elevators than it did 20 years ago before the ethanol boom got going.
If you take it straight to an ethanol plant you can pick up another 10 cents over most any elevator bid.
That just might pay your share of the checkoff dollars used to promote ethanol.
