Subject: RE: Steer Command SCM Update Required

NW MN
When a steering system is selected, the display looks for terrain compensated position data from the steering controller. If there is a communication issue with the steering system, a gray satellite will result as well.

The SteerCommand Z2 and SteadySteer systems use an Ethernet cable to communicate. It is an industrial style connection with the metal M12 screw in connector. The screw collar can bind when attaching the cable to the display or the SCM. I would also check these. I recommend wiggling the cable as you gently screw then connector in. Many times this cable will be partially seated and work well up until it doesn’t. Disconnecting and doing the wiggle while twisting the threaded connector takes care of the issue.
