Southwest Illinois | My opinion is that Michelins are about as good as it gets in Ag tires. We had been big Firestone fans for years. Bought a new small articulated planting/cart tractor in 2011. We put 4200 hours on that tractor and its original tires. When we traded it the dealer estimated that the tires ranged from about 20% to 40%. We never got more than 2000 to 3000 hours on Firestones. My guess is you got some bad tires. We never had sidewall issues even though most of our implements were heavy hitch loads. I would either go with Michelins or for that tractor I wouldn't be afraid of some of the new tire startups. I won't buy anything with Goodyear/Titan tires as they struggle with sidewalls. | |
