I have geese that have hatched around our irrigation pond and enjoy the soybeans as they come up. I saw them out eating and went out and chased them off with the gator. I chased them hard, never caught up with them but scared them enough they left. 
They came back a week later so I took off with the gator and as soon as they heard it they took off. I not only chased them off the field but kept after them until they were in the pond. It seems to have worked.
