Subject: RE: Farm semi drivers.

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

and that fits with what I have been told by attorneys for many years.

The "hands off" rule seldom works in the small business environment ..............too much personal contact with drivers, routes, how they are to drive and handle equipment, etc.

In the larger operations...............Consolidated, etc.........there can be real, in-fact distance between contact with the drivers and actual owners............so personal assets of owners and rest of business might receive some protection.

Result..........buy lots of liability ins.

I was going to buy millions...........my son the local attorney said wait..........he researched the issue by going back to amounts of settlements for long time........for a reasonable area..........and we cut the coverage by several millions but still having much more than settlements.......which frankly was not that much premium money (maybe 2000)........but it did enhance the bottom line.
