Subject: RE: Question about harvesting severely goosenecked corn

ECIL
In 2021 I had a field go flat due to tar spot and wind. Average height after the wind was thigh high. I tried a platform and quit after 3 or so acres, too many ears were getting cut off by the sickle and left on the ground. It was worse than what the corn head was leaving. I ended up getting a corn head reel and putting it on my corn head which helped a lot. Daily waxing of the poly snouts with car wax helped too.
