NW Indiana | Drop corn acres 2 million and yield down to 177 carryout is shy of 1.5, I'm pretty sure the market would notice that. Right now conditions are about perfect but dare I say the words some areas are going to be getting dry real quick with the forecast of heat the next couple weeks unless it brings rain. 78 degrees and seeing the compacted/light areas starting to curl in some fields with above knee high corn while a few miles away there is two leaf corn from just getting planted because of too wet. My guess one of the areas ends up with a good crop while the other doesn't, anybody's guess which one comes out on top. | |
