Subject: RE: House machinery--dry wall

I'm currently remodeling our old farmhouse right now and have done quite a bit of sheetrocking. While I always strive for a tight fit, sometimes it really isn't possible. I try not to get much over a quarter inch, but I'll accept up to 3/8. When I did our living room, I told the mudder I was sorry becuase I had a few gaps. He laughed and said it was nothing compared to some jobs he's seen. I helped a friend do his basement in a brand new house, and his mudder complained that the joints were too tight and that he had no place for the mud to get in and hold. So, overall, I'd say you're fine. ------ and you keep thinking "it sure will be nice when it's done" :)
