The "A' button you have is a very late addition to the B series machines, I've only seen a handful with them...that's DTM, Dynamic Tractor Management, and it also had other names. Basically an Auto Throttle based on some settings and the load on the tractor. If you turn it on, you should get a similar icon on your RH dash display, and then the throttle kind of does it's own thing.
If you turn it on or off, does the tractor still stop on it's own? If so, may be some settings I can help you adjust...if not, I'm going to have to scratch my head some more.
