had the same problem with our 7000. What I did to fix it was to put another bearing holder about in the spot where yours broke. More than likely the drive chain came off and bound up and snapped the shaft when it was raised. Make sure everything is up to snuff and if you have far to travel slide the drive chain off or dont go very fast. So far we havent broke a shaft in about 3 years
