East Central Arkansas | It never made the seed heads this year. Scapes I believe they are called. This bed has been around since before 1990. Just the last several years I have began harvesting and sort of tending to it. Last year when it got ready we were really busy in the field and by the time I though abut it the ground was so hard I dug very little. This was pretty earlier this spring but a few weeks ago all of it except around the edges was laid over. Almost looked like a deer had made a bed out of it. I went ahead and dug some but the ground really needs to dry some.
