 Eastern Washington State | I made it out of a piece of 3/4" sheet HDPE. Its screwed down to the cone and was sealed with silicone.
Took me two tries to get this right. The first one was smaller diameter and under vacuum it would suck down into the cone a little bit, it was enough to break the seal. The second one I made the same diameter as the cone and it has worked well.
You will probably have to be more careful with how much vacuum you put to your 20 gallon cone. I can almost collapse mine if I put the vacuum to it and don't have one of the intake valves open. Just something to be aware of. | |
