Pittsburg, Kansas | I have a bit of a problem with my liver putting out what I think to be excess in the morning hours. More than what I would expect from the dawn effect.
My morning blood sugar levels run 125-135. Ideally they should be down around 100 or less. My after meal levels will often be no higher than that, and rarely above 150.
But I have been diabetic for around 35 years and insulin dependant diabetic for over 20 of those years up until 5 years ago with diet change to low carb and off insulin shots and medicine. Reversing type II diabetes after that long was unheard of only a few years ago. Impossible so to speak, according to the medical community. So pretty much uncharted territory. Who knows what shape my beta cells in the pancreas are? Or how my level of insulin resistance is?
I am happy to be where I am now at with an A1c of 6.0 and pre-diabetic designation after being full blown insulin dependant diabetic for so long. Hopefully an A1c of under 5.5 some day and no further organ damage being done.
On buss heading to Royal Caribbean port. Just heard 350 in our low carb group and Bikman and his family got on one of the three buses. Bon Voyage! | |
