Subject: Gluconeogenesis

Pittsburg, Kansas
If the carbs don't go in the mouth, they can't produce blood sugar rise.

The liver can make glucose out of fat (and more reluctantly, out of protein if needed), all that we need. But it is a demand driven feature. The liver doesn't waste its energy doing so unless called to. Such as low blood sugar levels. Gluconeogenesis is a demand driven process. It doesn't happen Willy nilly.

It will only over produce when signaling is messes up by insulin resistance. That is my understanding at least.
