Subject: RE: closing stores because of weather.

April 1st of '23 when SE IA got hammered by tornados we were on out way to Davenport for my daughters dance competition, I'm a trained storm spotter and was watching the weather fairly closely. I thought we had time to stop at Cosco and get to the hotel before storms hit but while at Cosco a tornado warning was issued for the county and shoppers were told they had two minutes to leave the store or follow employees to the meat cooler. About 30 of us spent 40 minutes in the cooler until the warning was canceled.
Corporate had given stores instructions on what to do the day before, employees had been trained and practiced what to do.
