There was a generation of cat excavators with Poly bushings that weren’t intended to have grease, greasing them made a grinding compound and short work of the poly bushing. Mid to late 80s 215s, 225s, etc. owners all thought it was missing the grease jerks, was never equipped with them to start with and had disastrous consequences when they were added and greased.
