I was reading through some posts and saw on complaint that a KWIK mart had closed due to weather warnings. That prompted a complaint from one person and a number of comments from others. Some said when the sirens go off they are required to close and another said they were at another location in a Casey's and it didn't close. The local TV stations have multiple channels but their main channel carries all the network shows, rather than run the network shows the local weather guy pontificates for hours about the current weather that might or might not have severe weather. We've often thought that they could run a streamer at the bottom of the screen with the conflicting information he gives or put him and his radar on one of their alternate channels. It appears that every storm now requires hyper reporting. Are people really that stupid that they can't tell a storm is bad? I've seen the sky blacken or turn green and knew since I was a kid to get to the house and the basement. |
