Centralia, MO | At my local consignment auction which includes a bunch a dealer stuff, they don't advertise it as an absolute auction but they let you know in a way on major items if a reserve is present. If they say "this is the next tractor that will sell today" then there is no reserve. If there is a reserve and the item doesn't make it the auctioneer has a list of fake numbers and he'll announce at the end of bidding that it sold to number XXX. Most people aren't watching close enough to notice that no one held up a number at the end of bidding. | |
