Granary - 5/21/2024 17:43  Anyone remember McCulloch and Homelite chainsaws? They ruled in my neck of the woods through the 70’s and into the 80’s. Lots of good times on a crisp fall morning loading up on biscuits and cutting a truckload of firewood.

Definitely. I bought a new McCulloch about 1982. Can't recall the number. 310 or 320 maybe. It was an ok saw but had some bad vibrations that kept loosening up fasteners and losing them. I've got an old Homelite similar vintage that my uncle owned. I don't know if it runs. My ten year old Poulan is probablly the best yet. Starts right up anytime and does what I need it to. Got it on a great sale price at the local Co-op. $100 complete with a plastic case.
