Osakis,Mn | Wakulla Springs State Park about 20 miles south of Tallahassee Fl. It has one of the world’s largest and deepest freshwater springs, 70F year around, that creates the Wakulla River that flows to the Gulf of Mexico. You can reserve a narrative tour on a small river boat and see all kinds of wildlife, manatees, alligators,and all sorts of birds. Couple of movies in the 1940’s and 1950’s were filmed there. Also has a unique lodge and dining facility built by Edward Ball, that was eventually donated to the State of Florida. | |
