This little guy, Ozzy (named for Ozzy Osbourne) came from a hoarding situation north of Harrisburg. He was one of 185 chihuahuas seized by the state and 14 of them made it to the Adams County SPCA and then he to our home. This was in 2012. We expected him to have health issues due to inbreeding but we wanted to give him a good home for as long as we could. He had bad back knees (like me!) and developed a bad heart about 5 years ago. Vet figured he would just peacefully die in his sleep. Well, he didn't. Instead he troopered on with medication twice a day.  Recently he developed nerve issues in his front legs. This weekend he finally succumbed to the leg problems and can't hold himself up anymore. Breaks our hearts cause he still has life in him. But this afternoon we are doing the right thing and having him put to sleep. How a stupid little 6 pound dog can fill your heart is beyond me...
