Subject: RE: Killing established brome

With the rain we are getting, going dormant will not be a problem for a while.
If you can sell the hay or have a need for it I would hay it about the third week of June. Spray it when when it gets greened up good. Start disking when the brome is brown. Disc every week or so after. I just had a light disk, a heavy disc may take less passes.
Actually, the last time I did sod it was coming out of the 10 year. I got permission to smooth it out the last year. We also got permission to put in terraces.
After disking it several times over the summer it greened up good in the fall. We just did our regular spray in the spring.
