I have never run a Maxxum but a neighbor has a 5250 mfwd. They have had quite a few problems with the PTO and brakes. They also try to do things with a 115hp tractor that shouldn't be done with 150hp.

Personally, I'd choose to purchase a Magnum over a Maxxum when the cost is reasonably close (ie like comparing a 5250 vs 7110).
