Subject: RE: steerable tracks on planter controlled by active implement guidance

Nebraska
I'm looking into the same exact thing right now.

I use passive guidance now, and it will get the planter to the strip, but my tractor is sometimes 10" uphill and I'm driving on my strips with the tractor. Passive guidance worked excellent with a wheeled tractor, I didn't have any trouble with weaving, but recently got a 2 track JD, and the rotation is screwing with it all. Its been a frustration experience to get the weaving out. Still don't have it perfect, but its passable.
