3.6 acres a mile, 12 hours is 432.
Used to drop 3.6 acres an hour for turning on half mile runs, but not nearly as much on longer runs.
We don't go that fast anymore, since we have bigger or more planters. At 20 something, it was sweat equity and long hours.
The high speed obviously not as good, but with Milo in the desert, spacing not as critical as corn. Population just needs to be low enough not to burn up. | |
