500 acres with a non high speed 40ft planter equates to almost 21hrs with the planter in the ground planting, while running 5mph. That doesn't include turning on the headlands, filling planter, any other stops, and moving fields.

Right now my productivity on my pro 700 is right at 25 acres per hr. That's only 10 hrs of the planter being in the dirt for each planter. That leaves plenty of time for turning, filling, and moving to the next field. Do I plant 500 acres every day, not real often but it does happen every so often.
