If they equipment doesn't bring pretty close to the hard money they have in it, then they need to adjust their trade allowances on the other side.
I think the rule of thumb I've heard is that if a dealer is going to make money on something, they should sell it in the first three months. After about 6 months they just need to get it off the books and move on.
