| I'm taking 40mg of Atorvastatin and haven't had any problems with it. In all honesty my cholesterol is well within check with a smaller dosage, but my triglycerides are too high for my doctors liking and hence I'm at a higher dose. Triglycerides is basically a fancy way of saying my caloric intake is too high which can be pretty easily pointed back to excessive soda consumption.
I was on 60mg of Atorvastatin initially, but as they don't offer a dose that high I had to utilize 20mg and 40mg pills which was a pain to manage especially after my doctor's office managed to get the refill quantities out of sync with each other and I was often making two trips per month to the pharmacy. Between switching to taking the Atorvastatin and night instead of the morning and pushing back on my doctor he's been satisfied with my results at 40 only.
