Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | I'm reading that most of us here say you should replant. I'm not so sure. I have no personal experience to say the crop as-it-is, is still capable of producing a good crop. But I've heard from those that know more than I about how corn responds to hail.... say the yield loss from hail on corn at your crop's growth stage will be minimal.
So if it was me in your situation.... I would try to get some "experts" to evaluate my corn crop. I would contact my seed provider. I would contact a hail insurance adjuster, if one was available. Try to find some people with experience or knowledge of what to expect.
Just now I remembered someone talking about a study out of Iowa State University about hail damage. I searched for that study and found this. I think it's an excellent article on assessing hail damage. I think you would do well to read this article.
