Subject: RE: Red Lobster closings

We're 6-7 miles from the Danville location. Not our "go to" restaurant, but ate there 10-12x a yr. The community was shocked when people found out it had closed. Especially coming on the heels of Quaker Oars closing, 520+ jobs lost. Corporate just walked in and announced it was closed. Danville mayor didn't know until a worker called & informed him. We've noticed business has really dropped off in the last year or so. Only once or twice did we have poor service. I'm surprised at what some say they spent for food there. Normally wife & I spend $45 - $50 for the two us, including tax & tip (20%). McDonald's costs us at least $25 and not near as good. At least Red Lobster gets my order right, McDs never does. If you don't eat cheese on your burger your SOL. They say the "Endless Shrimp" was a big loser. Guess I was part of the problem as that was what I usually ate. LOL. Unfortunately Danville doesn't have very many good " sit down " restaurants IMO
