Other than McDonalds, most people get tired of going to the same restaurant all the time. I think that's what happens to a lot of chains. That and the rate of return that the big corporations expect from a restaurant is obscene. Lots of choices out there in the larger metro areas, not so much in the smaller towns so it's more noticeable when some close up there.
