| It is interesting how plausible that scenario is. I don’t think many of us, myself included, realize how complacent we have become about assuming that we will always be shielded by our technology from the brute reality that wildlife has to live under. Society has had a relatively long time to adjust from the subsistence living of the past to our current technology dependant lifestyle. It is almost impossible to imagine the chaos that would occur from an abrupt change back to subsistence living.
I just listened to an interesting podcast while in the tractor yesterday from Jordan Peterson, episode 447 on Spotify.
While not talking specifically about this topic it did talk about how safe some new style small scale reactors are. Adopting this style of decentralized energy generation could be a good way to somewhat reduce the dangers in the article you posted. To me anyways, it makes so much more sense than the current path we are on. I doubt the powers that be will allow it though. | |
