Unless you know you have caused an issue, I would recommend at the very most of ripping a few test areas to determine if needed. We have tested strips for 10+ years and have yet to have a positive response from in-line ripping in that time frame. It actually has resulted in a small reduction in yield, but it definitely equals a big loss when figuring the high cost of ripping.
