Northern Indiana
Radishes are pretty effective in our neighborhood. On farms we’ve picked up from bigger operations the nature of the beast is they’ve been on them wet and have places that are totally sealed over. Put beans on them during the season then radishes in the offseason. We’ve been doing 2 years of radishes and get pretty good results. Then you’ve got to be patient, don’t try to fix the problem only to work it or drive through it wet the next year. We have one patch that is real bad so we hit it with a ripper in the fall and radishes then in the spring we plant right through the rougher ripped ground to avoid working it. Crops grow and continue working root channels in it. Few more years and it should be back to healthy soil
