Subject: RE: Laminectomy, good or bad results?

NW Iowa
I had a laminectomy done on the neck, C3-C4-C5 in 2008. Best thing I ever did. It saved me from becoming a quadraplegic. Had another laminectomy on the lower back, L1-L2-L3-L4-L5 three or four years ago with excellent results. I could feel my feet again and my legs were light and agile again. I told the surgeon it was the closest thing to the fountain of use as it comes. My advice is to Research and find the best surgeon you can find. Get a surgeon who does only spines, preferably backs. My neck was done by a surgeon who only works on necks, the back surgeon works on only backs. This is not an area to make a mistake.
