In 1971 I bought a crib of corn from neighbor at auction for $1.31 others thought was a terrible high price milk $5, fuel ................28cents soybean meal maybe $i20 ton . new tractors around one hundred a horse power new 2 row narrow new idea picker $1900. super 1000 fox chopper 2 heads around $4000,maybe 5000 new Holland siliage wagon $2000, farm insurance 3 to 500 dollars a year . seman 10 to $20 an ampule milk hauling maybe .20 cents a hundred..I bought my first new pickup 1974 half ton stepside 6 cylinder for less than 2000 dollars in 1974. things were different . in 1970 we built a double 4 herringbone parlor for $ 6000 building and milking equipment . archie ps look what earl buck got us into today not many farmers and in some cases a heall of a lot of debt,
