Grandpa would talk of running the cattle to town. Loading on the rail and head to Chicago. Back when a vacation was a real vacation. The experience itself would have been worth it I think. Also talked about hauling corn to town to be auctioned off when supplies were low. Back when milk men and eggs ruled the land. Better quality and service then “eat fresh” now days. Many things change.
