Subject: RE: Replant after rye

SE Indiana
We never kill Curial rye more than a few days ahead of planting and would not consider anything less than a moldboard plow to incorporate it. The rules of insect habitat have not changed, certain conditions provide an ideal environment for them, it appears you are doing so. We plant green into rye nearly every year, our challenge is getting into the soil with all the rye growth. The good news is that growth really does help with weed control
