I've seen land come up for sale for back taxes and the owner would come in on the last day and pay the first year off.
Kicking the can down the road.
John a farm we were renting went into tax arrears and owner thought he could just pay 1 yr. taxes and kick the can down the road . Maybe different in different Municipalities but he had to pay the whole bill to get released. Funny deal as there was no mortgage on the farm. Some just let things slide. |
