I'm missing something.

The rye was applied last fall. Where I'm not following is what happened after.

What date did you burn down, and when did you work ground?

If you worked ground this spring, just curious why rye was your choice? VS Oats for example. I like rye, but its been 50 years since we worked any in the spring. Hence my confusion.

Also- what bug or insect are you battling- slugs perhaps?
