Southeast Colorado | My son was at a place near York NE several years ago that had planted something over 14k acres in 11 or 12 days. They had done it with a 24 hour crew and 2 planters. The interesting thing was that one of the planters was big, and the other was smaller, like a 12x30. The smaller planter just went around and planted all the hard to get places, and around pivot points/etc..........that way the big planter just had the big wide open places to run.
My son was doing some computer work for Climate Corp at the time. He had nothing to do with the farming. | |
