Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

I had a '99 Buick Regal GS with a supercharged 3800 V6.
I got a letter advising me to park it outside until they figured out a fix for the burning issue. A month or so later. I got a letter advising that they had solved the issue. Their fix consisted of stealing the beauty cover off the engine and trying to sell me a $400 coil and $800 tune-up on a garage kept car with 100K miles. I bought neither and sold the car. Shortly after that, the new buyer called and informed me that the power steering rack had failed and needed replacement to the tune of $2K. bear in mind that this was a garage kept and meticulously maintained Sunday car that lived in SW Arizona and never saw a hint of road salt.
My wife used to drive a Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.8 V6. Lock-up torque converter would sometimes fail to unlock and the engine would die at stop signs. It got traded on a Ford car and that one had issues with phantom neutral.
I've never been a GM fan but have owned a couple others. None have been what I call trouble free.
