Cherokee iowa | Ya basis play on open market been working better last half the month. Eplant looks to get the contracted in start of the month they drop basis with the rising market. More then likely will add back on end of the month. If I would of locked in that +15 two weeks ago I’d be selling $5 corn again. I still think I’ll be selling $5 corn any which way in the next month hopefully. See how it shakes out. I never contract or pre sell. I Did when I was younger but I got a better foundation now so play it “live” in the moment either right or wrong. I’m not worried about basis personally if even with the board I’m fine with that. Will need corn hauled in from somewhere to keep that streamlined Eplant running all year. | |
