hankster1966 - 5/11/2024 15:17 I went to the local greenhouse yesterday to pick up my tomato plants. As I walked around I noticed that they had a pack of six sweet corn plants at about the two leaf stage. The price tag was $10 and change. I just about fell over. I thought it was expensive when I had bought my sweet corn seed and it was around $6 for probably 50-100 seeds. Needless to say it was a hard no for me. The tomatoes were $5.99 a plant. I grabbed six so not the end of the world. It seems that the number of seeds in a packet now days is almost minuscule now days. Wife bought some carrot seed and there was hardly anything there. My wife actually saves a lot of her own seed from the previous year when possible, so I suppose I shouldn't complain. |
