Cocklebur is easy to kill in most crops. The seed is so large that most soil applied herbicides aren't the best. Roundup is very good on it. Dicamba is good.
Waterhemp is the challenge. Start with tillage or burn down and then follow with group 15 herbicides once or twice until the canopy is closed. Dicamba, 2,4-D and Liberty are the only products that kill emerged waterhemp here in Nebraska.
