Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
Get one with the 4 speed powershift. The syncro is a waste of an opportunity. We've had two 5240s and they didn't give much trouble in the 6000 hrs that we had them. Like the other guy said, the dash was the weak point. The old green LED dashes were better than the LCD later ones. (at least thats how it went for us) The funny thing about the 5000 series maxxums was the dual fuel caps. To really fill it up, you had to do it from the back. The front fill lid wouldn't let you get a full tank. We used to run the snot out of them with boll buggies in the cotton fields. I liked them. Pretty decent 3 point capacity for that size tractor in its day.
