My wife is very resistant to changes. She bought a new ICE vehicle last summer. That is our back-up vehicle for when we want to travel the northern and forgotten part of Montana. 
Of course, I'm here to tend to the maintenance of that vehicle. The Tesla really requires no maintenance, so that would be one less hassle when compared to an ICE vehicle. I watch a couple of her widow friends and their struggles maintaining their cars. They just use them as short hop, around town cars and it is a hassle for them, plus an expense they would avoid if they were using an EV.
